The BioComp Fractionator can create gradients, precisely separate, and collect fractions from centrifuged density gradients with minimal disturbance, enabling reproducible, high-resolution recovery of separated biological components.
• Create linear density gradients by BioComp's patented tilted-tube rotation method.
• Prepare 6 gradients simultaneously with specified parameters (angle, rotation speed, time, etc.) and reproduce procedure based on programmed protocols.
• Supports sucrose, glycerol, CsCl, OptiPrep, Nycodenz, Ficoll, Percoll, Metrizamide, NaCl and other gradient-forming solutions.
• Top-down fractionation: motor-driven piston enters the centrifuge tube and displaces the gradient from the top downward.
• Control carry-over and cross-contamination by introducing liquid and/or air between fractions
• Monitor materials exiting gradient tube using UV/fluorescence detection on the Triax flow cell
